Practice IQ Value · For independent medical practices

Know what your practice is worth before someone else tells you.

Independent valuation and transaction intelligence for physician owners — helping you understand practice value, identify preparation priorities and evaluate your options before consequential discussions advance.

Designed for independent medical oncology and hematology community practices and medical groups.

Why preparation matters

Understand your position before deciding your next move.

Useful when a buyer approaches, partners are considering succession or ownership changes, or leadership wants to prepare for future strategic discussions. You do not need to have decided to sell.

Physician compensation, infusion and drug economics, and ancillary services are relevant analytical considerations, as applicable to scope and available data.

Why preparation matters: benefits and why they matter
Establish your own view of valueEvaluate a proposal against an independent assessment of your practice and its economics.
Understand what drives valueSee how physician compensation, operating performance, service mix and other assumptions influence the conclusion.
Identify opportunities earlyPrioritize changes that may strengthen performance and future options while there is time to act.
Anticipate important questionsRecognize financial issues, assumptions and information gaps that may arise in buyer or adviser discussions.
Evaluate the full propositionConsider sale proceeds alongside continuing compensation, autonomy, governance and ownership terms.
Choose your next step deliberatelyDecide whether to prepare further, explore alternatives, engage in discussions or continue independently.

The package

A written assessment, a concise executive summary, supporting financial schedules and two expert meetings. Access to an editable model, or additional scenarios, can be agreed as part of scope.

Enterprise value is not owner proceeds

What an individual owner receives can differ from enterprise value once debt and cash, working capital, ownership share and deferred consideration are taken into account. Where relevant, an illustrative proceeds bridge can be scoped separately.

Sample report pages

See the kind of analysis you receive.

Three illustrative pages built on one synthetic example: reported earnings of $2.0M normalize to $1.7M under a physician compensation scenario. Together they show how owners can use the report — understanding the assumptions behind a valuation range, comparing physician compensation scenarios, and prioritizing preparation and questions. The valuation factors shown are hypothetical illustrative assumptions, not market benchmarks.

  • Illustrative sample — synthetic data

    Executive conclusions & valuation range

Conclusions, the indicative range and the assumptions behind it — so you can see what supports the range before comparing it with a proposal.

  • Illustrative sample — synthetic data

    Earnings bridge & sensitivity

How reported earnings become normalized earnings, and how alternative physician compensation scenarios change value.

    Preparation priorities & questions

What to prepare first and what to ask buyers and advisors — to help prioritize preparation before discussions advance.

How it works

A structured process, built around two expert conversations.

The proposed engagement follows five stages, with guided information collection.

  1. 1

    Introductory discussion

A conversation to confirm fit, objectives, sponsor and the scope of the engagement.

  2. 2

    Guided information collection

A concise initial checklist, with analyst follow-up to clarify what matters and why.

  3. 3

    Analysis & internal quality review

Normalization, modeling and valuation work, reviewed internally before anything is shared.

  4. 4

    Preliminary findings meeting

A session with the senior valuation expert and analyst to review facts, assumptions and open questions.

  5. 5

    Final report & expert-led readout

The written report, walked through in detail so leadership understands the conclusions and sensitivities, and can prioritize preparation and questions for existing advisers.

Who does the work

Analysts prepare the analysis, it passes internal review, and a senior valuation expert interprets the findings with you. The identities and relevant qualifications of your engagement team are shared privately before you commit.

Confidentiality, agreed first

Before information is requested, we agree confidentiality terms, authorized recipients, the transfer method, and how information will be used and retained. Questions about AI or data handling are welcome before anything is shared.

Who authorizes the work

For multi-owner practices, we agree the sponsoring partner, required approvals and who receives the report before work begins.

What we ask for initially

Historical financial statements, current year-to-date results, physician compensation, distributions and ownership, and payer, service-mix and aggregate operating information as available. Gaps are discussed during scoping.
